Venice – one of the most important tourist destinations on the northern coast of the Adriatic Sea. The historic core lies on islands in a shallow lagoon, and the newer parts have been built on a vast bank.

Gondolas

The symbol and an indispensable part of Venice. Channel labyrinth rides are an unforgettable experience. Their slender hull and flat bottom are ideally suited to sailing through narrow and shallow channels. On special occasions you can see them adorned with beautiful floral decoration.

City attractions

The most famous canal that intersects Venice and is the main boulevard of Canal Grande. It connects the main railway station and the harbor with the historic square of St. Mark and the city center.

The oldest and most famous bridge is Ponte di Rialto. As one of four, it connects both parts of the city that divide the channel.

St. Mark’s Square Mark is one of the most visited places. It is the lowest point, and this is why it is flooded several times a year. For sightseeing, there is the Basilica of St. Mark, the Doge Palace or the Clock Tower.

City festivals

The renowned Regata storica is the gondol celebrations, which take place on the Grand Canal in September. It is a traditional boat race, preceded by a festive show with gorgeous gondolas, the atmosphere of which is illustrated by hundreds of people in historical costumes.

Mascara carnival creates an exceptional atmosphere due to beautiful costumes and mysterious masks made of leather, porcelain or traditional glass technology. Contemporary masks have rich decorations – gold, feathers, beads. During the Carnival, you can buy a mask on almost every corner.
